So true. But who is there take care of the prevention part... Personal matters we can take care of ourself and make sure we will do the precaution part too. But for public issues... Does Civic authorities doing their part well...
Last week I saw a dried branch of the big tree opposite to our office. It was inside the Rest House Park and our security told the park caretakers about it. They came there to inspect the scene. One was telling the other that they don't have the ladder to reach that height, then the second care taker told that they should not touch it, it is supposed to be handled by the forest authorities.
Nothing happened. The log remained there, till today noon. It fell directly on the windshield of my colleague's car. She needed to spend Rs. 3000 to change it. Who is responsible for this incident... The forest authorities who didn't check the hanging logs periodically or the part caretakers who didn't bother to remove it...
Thank God it didn't fell on anybody. Still, can't that be avoided....
