How can I stay cool...

Today I was in a bad mood..very bad mood..
It started right from morning.
I use to start by 8:45 or I will have to enjoy miserable Hosur road traffic.
Just as I was leaving home our maid came.
And I woke my roommate up so that he can keep an eye on her.
I was dusting my bike, and saw the Swacha Bangaluru lady picking up garbage from the house owner.
Remembering our garbage is a week fresh, I asked her whether she can pick our garbage too.
She turned out to know only Kannada and my little Tamil also didn't help.
I ran upstairs and found the one who was supposed to keep an eye on maid was in deep sleep.
Then my maid came to help the situation..
She knew Tamil but pretended like she didn't understand me and was talking to the SB woman.
In the end they made me pay 30 bucks to her and I (mis)understand that she will pick the garbage everyday...
Hope she will...

But that took a good half an hour of my precious time and I am on road hard to move forward.

After the Forum signal, there was a jam.
And as the Qualis in front of me moved to a side I accelerated my bike and only too late to found a dog carcass just ahead of me...
It was fresh (!) and I was too late to brake...
Thank God I didn't fell down riding over it.
But there was blood and small flesh pieces all over my shoes and jeans..
Crap..
Perfect start of the day...

And arriving office, I realised I didn't get the complete money transferred from my friend.
Though he confirmed the complete amount was sent, it was not showing in my account.
I called our "Priority Customer Relationship Manager" and she promised a call back in half an hour.
I needed to call her twice more and to my irritation she started talking to me in Hindi and add to that started using 'yaar, mein aaj ghar jaane se pehle kar doongi' and all..
I was so frustrated that I called her manager to get the status.
He said he will definitely sort it out by tomorrow morning...
He might better...

And on way back, the narrow Rest House Road was blocked.
On right side a Coke van was sorting their load and left a Kingfisher auto unloading for the pub, leaving hardly space for a Maruti...
When all the vehicles started honking ( that is special in Bangalore, even you are the last one in a signal, just as the signal turn green, you will start honking... ) the auto moved to a side and the traffic easened...

But not everything was bad either..
Today I saw a special auto...
An auto with a TV..
Can you believe it...
It was decorated by big posters of tigers and lions and Rajkumar and there was this small B&W TV for the passenger...
Nice thinking considering the traffic jams...

How many kids do one need...

Isn't it a complicated question..
And now it came to my mind because of my friend. She decided not to have kids... of course her husband also feels the same. Her view is absolutely relevant. Why do one need kid ??? Forget the biological need, family tree blah blah blah, deep inside the truth will be parents expect kids to take care of them at old age. But in this new era how far it happens ?? She married to a telugu guy ( she is a malayali ) and now settled in London. She hardly meets her parents who are now in Dubai, her only sibling is doing MS in the US and most probably will find a job there. So how far her parents expectation of children take care of them will be met... Financially they don't need support, as most of today's parents. And anything else, hard to get. And if this generation is like this, next can only be worse. So do you really need a kid....

I know people calls their children terrorist... I love kids, and the 'terrorist kids' I love to be with. They are fun, full of energy, and all their little games will bring my kiddie days back. I love living that moment. But when I think about the parents, who has to manage them 24x7... They might feel the energy reservoir as terrorist... No kidding... But for me, to have them for an hour or two, they are most adorable.... ;)

And the exercise of giving birth is also not a pleasure I think. When I saw my cousin after cesarean I got a clue. She was not weak, but was almost motionless... Terrible sight... And after all this if your kid is growing 'independent'...

Now tell me how many kids you want....

My First Experience…

Hi Netizens,
This is the first time I am writing something… So I decided it must be special and interesting - for you too. That’s why I am writing about this incident, which I never even thought will feel like this… least expected, only fantasized about and when it happened, it was like a dream come true, something to recall again and again…

It was a Thursday. And when I was returning from work, it was a messy ride. After the cruel sun, the evening turned out to be naughty. I left work half an hour early and picked my friend on the way and we went my room. The weather was changing to tougher. The wind was very strong ( thanks to my friend, if I was alone, I think it will take me and bike with it !!! ) and the sand on the road started whirling around making the ride tough ( next day I read it was the effect of a cyclone on east coast, whom the weatherman calls Nargis ). Thank God, we reached home before rain started.

But, it turned out to be dark evening. No power… No TV, net, it was difficult. I was tired, hungry and blank. I think my friend also felt the same. We sat in the dark hoping things to change…

And then it happened… I heard things happen unexpectedly will be memorable… and it really was… I have read a lot about it. And it always sounded excitement and unique. But I never thought I will live it then…

It started raining all of a sudden… I always liked rain. And it being the first rain in a long time, the scent of earth was also very tempting. I went out to enjoy it and my friend joined me. It had a soothing, cool effect. And then the unexpected happened… ice… it started raining hail…wow… my first experience ever… the sound of ice hitting the iron hand rails of the staircase is still on my ears… it was a sight ice hits the stair and bursts… My friend went a little weird… He got a helmet and tried to catch one fresh… It was hurting to catch it, but still lot of fun… it’s been a while hailstorm hit Bangalore. And when it happened it was special… became my first experience…

Backbyte...

I was enjoying dosa at the coffee house when a couple of foreigners took a seat opposite to mine. They were examining the discs they bought at Planet M. Gayathri Manthra, Music for Meditation etc.. I swallowed a bite when they took the last one out... it was Shah Rukh Khan's OM SHANTI OM !!!!
