Angry Old Uncle

Today I met an interesting character on road. At the 80 ft road near to Sony World junction, a car was coming from a pocket road. The driver was a lady and she was struggling as the motorists were busy to cross the green signal. I stopped my bike, letting the car go and continued. When I stopped at the signal ( which turned red by then ), an uncle asked me 'training, huh ??' I was confused. Then he explained me whether I was doing any driving lessons and why did I stop my bike ?? ' You stopped and didn't let anybody go too'. I tried to explain him that the car was coming from the pocket road and it was half in the pocket road and half in main road, thus blocking both the roads. If we let the car go, then both the traffic will be at more ease. His answer surprised me - he was telling, 'You shouldn't have stopped, and go ahead. Then the car driver will see you and stop.' That means the car will cause block for some more time till it manage to squeeze itself to the main road. Do we really need to do it...

At least on the road can't we be less selfish and make life easier for everyone...

Is My Seasonal Fear Over...!!!

Confused by the title ??? Don't be. From the day I started cycling my dad used to warn me about riding after the first rain. The road will be covered with oil, grease etc and that will cause skid after the first rain, especially if it is drizzling and not heavy to wash away them from road. I never cared about it till last year, when I learned the lesson hard.

This year from the day the weatherman was talking about the summer rains, I was scared that might happen again. Yesterday there was a little shower, but I was home before rain and was happy. But at morning I learned that the drizzle was very weak. So the real first rain may still has not come. Hope it will
happen this weekend when I will be at my native and by Monday all the grease will be washed away... :)

Yesterday I crossed Carlton Towers where the fire broke out on Tuesday. It looked like a war-front. Couple of stories, the smoke painted it black and the broken windows gave it a horrifying look. There was some VIPs visiting the place, and was crowded by media and policemen.

May all the soul rest in peace and no more such accident happen again.

What A Day !!!

Today was hectic. Literally. I needed to deliver something today and the day started with the memory of my manager in my head chanting why it is very necessary. Was planning the day in my head gazing at the empty ceiling. Thank God there was power when I woke up and I got ready in time, rather than waiting for the power, to heat the water.

When I reached the office, security stopped me from the basement parking siting some 'skidding leakage'. Upstairs I found that the AC is off because of 'something smelly' in the air. Was struggling to keep the heat off opening the windows.

Later found that diesel from the generator was leaked and that was the reason for skidding at the parking lot !!! Around 35 liters of diesel on the floor... And it was the smell of the diesel that made AC air smelly !!! Great day !!!

And when my mentor came in he was visibly shaken. He just taken an accident victim to the hospital. On the Indiranagar flyover, of the couple of ladies on scooter, the pillion fell and hurt her face and head. He stopped to get them to the hospital and get his shirt and car dirty. More than that, the wound and blood made him dizzy.

By evening read the news about the fire in Carlton Towers. May the souls rest in peace.

It could be our office on fire today.
I would have tweeted ' my office is on fire, pray for me !!'
